greenCHAIN AFRICA – greenCHAIN AFRICA is a Ghanaian based non-profit environmental advocacy group which seeks to prioritize environmental sustainability and its impact on human life.

VISION

Becoming an impactful globally recognized environmental group

GOAL

creating a chain of environmentally conscious persons of all professions. This is referred to as total environmental consciousness.

OBJECTIVES

i. The creation of awareness of nature to foster a chain of like minds.
ii. To promote sustainable practices for nature preservation including food, animal and Agric-related.
iii. Undertaking to train, promote and acquire for the good of the social benefits.
We adopt green Advocacy to achieving our objectives of Human survival.

greenCHAIN Advocacies

These are sustainable environmental practices that promote human life and growth of living organisms for the survival of future generations. green advocacy creates awareness about critical issues that drives positive change towards a more sustainable future.

The greenCHAIN Approach

1. Building Sectoral Alliances – This refers to collaborations and partnerships among various organisations and stakeholders to promote and acquire for the good of the society.
2. Getting advocates on board with the understanding of collectiveness and ownership of gains.
3. Data adoption – Using scientific and empirical (data) proofs to solving challenges and deriving solutions.
4. Influencing Policy decisions through advocacy. Example, degradable paper bag, Bio-friendly chemicals ie. Weedicides, pesticides to improving the economic lots of farmers.

Your effort is prime to achieving any of our four (4) thematic approaches because of you at the Traditional council, Local Assembly, Church, Political activism, Labour activism, Security officer, medical officer, Educationist, Media, Artisan, Trader or Business person etc.

WHAT WE SEEK TO ACHIEVE

• Preservation of Water bodies/Wetlands/Forests has benefits as;
i. Erosion control
ii. Flood Abatement
iii. Habitat Enhancement
iv. Uninterrupted Water Supply
iiv. Recreation

WHAT WE SEEK TO PREVENT

• Destruction of water bodies/Wetlands/Forests by way of filling, Building or construction on water ways, cutting down of trees results in;
i. Flood & drought damage ie. Destruction to settlements, Food shortages, high prices of food items.
ii. Nutrient runoff/Water Pollution ie. Destruction of farm lands, shortage of drinking water at schools, hospitals (theatres), offices due to destruction of water pumps by higher concentration of muds in water. High cost of water tanker services, sachet water and higher water bills as a result of high prices of concentrations or chemicals for water purification.
iii. Decline in wildlife population and waterfalls ie. No game, importation of animals to stock Zoo, loss of revenues (tourist visits) to government, loss of income to the local economy.
iv. Shoreline erosion ie. Effect is higher impacts of tidal waves.

greenCHAIN Africa does not accept money from government or political groups.
